ITEM 1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Burkholder called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Cabinet Room of the Lakewood Civic Center South Building, 480 S. Allison Pkwy., Lakewood, CO.
ITEM 2. ROLL CALL

Full and timely notice of this Study Session Meeting had been given and a quorum was present.
ITEM 3. PRESENTATION - LAKEWOOD'S FINANCIAL FUTURE
Larry Dorr, Director of Finance, stated that City Council had asked for a review of the City's revenues. A PowerPoint presentation was given covering the various sources of revenue and how they are forecasted including property tax assessment and valuations, sales tax, use taxes, general use tax, building material use tax, motor vehicle use tax, specific ownership tax, tobacco products tax, business & occupation tax, franchise charges, hotel accommodation tax, licenses & permits, intergovernmental revenues, charges for services, TABOR revenues, as well as discussion regarding a hypothetical sales & use tax increase, fines & forfeits, investment income, enterprise fund revenues, and internal service fund revenues.
Discussion ensued. It was determined that future meetings would be held to discuss the City's expenditures and a need for a possible sales tax ballot question.
Mayor Burkholder recessed the meeting at 9:15 p.m. The meeting was reconvened at 9:40 p.m.
ITEM 4. DISCUSSION - CITY COUNCIL OFFICERS SELECTION
Mayor Burkholder stated his choice for Mayor Pro-Tem to be Councilwoman Koop.
Councilwoman Kesselman and Councilman Booher were nominated for Council President. Ballots were distributed. City Clerk Margy Greer counted the ballots and stated Councilwoman Kesselman received the majority of votes. Resolutions officially appointing Councilwoman Debbie Koop as Mayor Pro-Tem and Councilwoman Carol Kesselman as Council President will be put on the next regular meeting's agenda.
ITEM 5. OPEN DISCUSSION
None.
ITEM 6. REPORTS - MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
The Mayor and City Council members announced their attendance at various meetings and events.
ITEM 7. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Burkholder adjourned the meeting at 9:53 p.m.
