National League Cities Study. It is a one-year study being funded by the Bonfils
Stanton Foundation and the LMC Foundation. The City of Lakewood will be the
lab for this study. The committee consists of 17 members. The members represent
different areas of the City. Donald represents the "Arts". The committee
will be looking at what constitutes community, what elements give that community
identity and how does the City engage the community during a budgetary crisis.
The next meeting will be a two-day meeting at the beginning of September. The
meetings will be open to the public. Meetings are to be held at the Visitor
Center in the Orchard Room.

over last year.
