Dear Mr. Wilson,
The City of Lakewood would like to recognize you with this Letter of Commendation from the Lakewood City Council for your recent humanitarian act in helping a family stranded along a Utah highway. Because of your charitable actions, the Marquez family of Ogden, Utah, has a wonderful and warm impression of Lakewood residents.
Your good citizenship showed when you stopped to help a woman and her family beside Interstate 70 in July. The family had run out of gas, and you provided assistance by siphoning enough gas from your car to get the family's vehicle to Green River, Utah.
We also laud you for buying the family a tank of gas and lunch while refusing
to accept money in return.
We commend you for taking actions that affirm people's belief in the goodness
of their fellow citizens and for serving as an example to others. We are thankful
that you live in the city as well as work as a manager for Suburban Propane
in Lakewood.
