REGULAR MEETING OF LAKEWOOD LIQUOR AND FERMENTED MALT BEVERAGE LICENSING AUTHORITY

April 22, 2004

Regular Meeting of the Lakewood Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage Licensing Authority was held on this date in the City Council Chambers.

ITEM 1. CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Taake called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Full and timely notice of this meeting had been given and a quorum was present.

ITEM 3. NEW APPLICATION

Hotel & Restaurant License
Pei Wei Asian Diner, Inc.
d/b/a Pie Wei Asian Diner
14255 W. Colfax Dr.

Deputy City Attorney Kennebeck told the Authority that he had reviewed this application and everything appeared to be in order.

Alan Dill, registration #872, appeared on behalf of the licensee.

Sher Dunnells, 7600 E. Callie Ave. #218, Englewood CO 80111, appeared before the Authority and was sworn in.

Ms. Dunnells testified that she is the supervisor for Esquire Petitioning which circulated petitions on behalf of Pei Wei. The petition was prefiled with the Lakewood City Clerk's Office. There were five petition circulators. The results of the petitions were sufficient.
Erik Boller, 5347 S. Taft St., Littleton CO 80127, testified that he is the General Manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mr. Boller will be the General Manager for the new location in Lakewood.

Pei Wei is a fully owned subsidiary of PF Chang which offers Asian dinning. They are full service restaurants with a full bar. Pei Wei will offer the same food but will only be serving beer and wine. The purpose of having a Hotel & Restaurant license is to have more than one location in Colorado. The restaurant opening is set for September 20, 2004.

Management personnel has gone through an extensive management training program. The program is 12 weeks and some of the training is spent on alcohol issues.

Mr. Boller stated he will undergo manager registration.

Ms. Hansson moved that the application for a hotel and restaurant license for Pei Wei Asian Diner, Inc., d/b/a Pei Wei Asian Diner, 14255 W. Colfax Dr. be approved. The motion was seconded and with those present voting Aye, THE MOTION TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION CARRIED.

ITEM 4. GENERAL BUSINESS

Mr. Kennebeck stated that Rodenburg Enterprises, LLC., has relinquished their liquor license and will not sell alcohol. Therefore, he is asking that the case against Green Mountain Shell be dismissed.

Ms. Hansson moved for the dismissal of the complaint against Rodenburg Enterprises, LLC., d/b/a Green Mountain Shell, 12410 W. Alameda Pkwy., and that the hearing date of July 22, 2004 be vacated. The motion was seconded and with those present voting Aye, THE MOTION TO DISMISS CARRIED.

ITEM 5. ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before the Authority, Chairman Taake adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
