Re: City Council Study Session on June 21, 2004 to discuss two proposed Zoning
Ordinance amendments: Fence Regulations and Animal Day Care Regulations
The Community Planning and Development Department is processing several Zoning
Ordinance Amendments and wishes to present to City Council two of the proposed
changes that have been reviewed and recommended for approval by the Lakewood
Planning Commission and are now ready for City Council review and action. These
two items were presented to Council in conceptual form at a study session on
April 5, 2004. At that meeting, staff was directed to bring these items back
to Council when the amendments were written.
The two ordinance amendments that are to be presented for discussion are:
Proposed changes to Article 2, Article 5 and Article 8 related to Fences, Walls
and Obstructions to view. The staff report, proposed Ordinance and compare copies
are attached for your review.
Proposed changes to Article 2, Article 5 and Article 6 related to a new use
recognized by the Zoning Code - Animal Day Care.
The staff report, proposed Ordinance and compare copies are attached for your
review.
Color photocopies of the short power point presentation are also attached for
your use. Following the presentation staff will be available to address your
questions and comments.
