A RESOLUTION

APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH MULLER ENGINEERING COMPANY FOR FINAL DESIGN OF LAKEWOOD GULCH STABILIZATION FROM INDEPENDENCE STREET TO GARRISON STREET

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood's Stormwater Management Utility and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District jointly fund drainageway maintenance projects; and

WHEREAS, THE City of Lakewood hired Muller Engineering Company to prepare conceptual design of improvements to stabilize Lakewood Gulch from Independence Street to Garrison Street; and

WHEREAS, Muller Engineering Company has successfully completed a conceptual design for stabilization of Lakewood Gulch; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood desires to hire Muller Engineering Company to complete final design for stabilization of Lakewood Gulch.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and the City Clerk to attest a contract with Muller Engineering Company for the final design of Lakewood Gulch stabilization improvements, in form approved by the City Attorney, in an amount not to exceed Eighty Five Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($85,000.00).

SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to Muller Engineering Company in accordance with the terms of said contract.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 9 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on October 13, 2003, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood City Hall, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
