A RESOLUTION

CHANGING THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE TERMS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE LAKEWOOD HOUSING AUTHORITY

WHEREAS, the Lakewood Housing Authority was created by City Council in 1974 by Resolution 74-154 to address the problems of housing within the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Lakewood Housing Authority currently consists of five members who serve staggered five year terms which expire on July 18th of the term end; and,

WHEREAS, City Council finds that it will be more efficient and practical to change the expiration date of the term.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The current term expiration date for members of the Lakewood Housing Authority is July 18th of the last year of the member's term. Said expiration date is hereby changed to September 30th of the last year of the member's term.

SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 9 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on October 13, 2003, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
