RESOLUTION: 2003-61
SUBJECT: Annexation Case No. AX-99-005
A Resolution making certain findings of fact regarding the proposed annexation
of approximately 2.635 acres in the vicinity of West Colfax Avenue and Youngfield
Street

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends adoption of the Resolution.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: A Petition for the annexation of the subject properties was filed with the City Clerk on June 4, 2003, and a Resolution finding the petition to be in substantial compliance with Colorado Revised Statutes and setting the date of the hearing on the annexation was adopted by City Council on July 28, 2003. The notice of the public hearing on the annexation before the City Council was published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City for four consecutive weeks, the first of which was more than thirty (30) days prior to the date established for the hearing, as is required by the state statutes.
The City has received from the petitioner a written withdrawal of her annexation petition and zoning application. The City Council does not need to take any action, but the minutes for this meeting will reflect the withdrawal of the petition by the applicant.
