A RESOLUTION
FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF MISCELLANEOUS DEEDS AND OTHER PROPERTY INTERESTS FOR WEST TWO CREEKS NEIGHBORHOOD PARK GENERALLY BOUNDED BY WADSWORTH BOULEVARD, WEST 12TH AVENUE, UPHAM STREET AND WEST 10TH AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood and Jefferson County have been working jointly to acquire property interests in the West Two Creeks Neighborhood in order to provide a neighborhood park where there is none presently; and,
WHEREAS, Jefferson County Open Space, on behalf of the City, has acquired property interests from three property owners and desires to convey them to the City of Lakewood by Commissioner's Deed; and,
WHEREAS, The City of Lakewood desires to include additional, adjacent properties as they become available by donation, purchase, lease or other legal means in order to provide a sufficient neighborhood amenity.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The City of Lakewood does hereby accept the aforesaid Commissioner's Deeds, according to the terms set forth therein.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, by way of the Property Manager, is authorized
to accept deeds for additional properties and execute lease or joint use agreements
for other contiguous parcels bounded by Wadsworth Boulevard on the West, 12th
Avenue on the North, Upham Street on the East and 10th Avenue on the South.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to record a certified
copy of this Resolution with the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 9 for and 0 against at a special meeting of the City Council on June 23, 2003, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
