A RESOLUTION

AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD AND GORSUCH KIRGIS LLP, ATTORNEYS AT LAW, TO PROVIDE FOR LEGAL SERVICES TO THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD

WHEREAS, by Resolution 2000-32, the City Council authorized an Agreement with the law firm of Gorsuch Kirgis LLP to provide legal services for the City of Lakewood through April 30, 2003; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to enter into an Agreement with Gorsuch Kirgis LLP for a term of three (3) years, said Agreement to replace the existing Agreement now in effect.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado that:

SECTION 1. The firm of Gorsuch Kirgis LLP is hereby appointed to provide legal services for the City of Lakewood, effective May 1, 2003 through April 30, 2006. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, an Agreement between the City of Lakewood and Gorsuch Kirgis LLP, providing for legal services to be performed for the City of Lakewood.

SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to Gorsuch Kirgis LLP in accordance with the terms of said Agreement, upon receipt of periodic billings.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on June 9, 2003, at 7:00 o'clock p.m., at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
