A RESOLUTION

FINDING A PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED IN SECTION 6 TOWNSHIP 4 SOUTH, RANGE 69 WEST OF THE 6TH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, COUNTY OF JEFFERSON, STATE OF COLORADO TO BE IN SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE WITH COLORADO REVISED STATUTES SECTION 31-12-107(1)

WHEREAS, a Petition for Annexation of a certain parcel of land as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Lakewood, Colorado; and

WHEREAS, the Petition has been referred to the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado for a determination of substantial compliance with requirements of Section 31-12-107(1) of the Colorado Revised Statutes; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has received testimony and evidence, and has taken official notice of all maps, records, and information and other material on file with the City of Lakewood, Colorado, regarding said petition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado that:

SECTION 1. The Petition for Annexation of a certain parcel of land located in Section 6, Township 4 South, Range 69 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated by reference, is hereby determined to be in substantial compliance with Section 31-12-107(1) of the Colorado Revised Statutes.

SECTION 2. The City Council shall hold a public hearing on the proposed annexation on July 28, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council chambers, Lakewood Municipal Building, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado to determine if the proposed annexation complies with Sections 31-12-104 and 31-12-105 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, or such parts thereof as may be required to establish eligibility for annexation.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall publish a Notice of Public Hearing once a week for four (4) successive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the area proposed to be annexed.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on June 9, 2003, at 7:00 o'clock p.m., at Lakewood City Hall, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
