RESOLUTION: 2003-30
SUBJECT: Creation of a Lakewood Ad Hoc Youth Commission
RECOMMENDATION: Approval.
FUNDING SOURCE: N.A.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: City Council held a Study Session with Lakewood youth on February 3, 2003. Lakewood youth asked City Council for approval to move forward with the formation of a Youth Commission for the City of Lakewood. City Council agreed to move forward with a pilot program. City Council asked to review the program in one year. The attached resolution creates an ad-hoc advisory youth commission and allows for the one year review, at which time City Council may decide to make the ad hoc commission a permanent youth commission of the City.
