A RESOLUTION

AUTHORIZING AN INTERGOVENMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE FOOTHILLS PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT FOR THE MASTER PLANNING OF THE PROPOSED PARK AND OPEN SPACE LAND ON THE FEHRINGER RANCH.

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is and has been working cooperatively with Jefferson County, the Foothills Park and Recreation District, Jefferson County Public School, Jefferson County Public Library, and the Denver Water Board; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has applied for and received a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado for the Master Planning of the development of the proposed park and open space land; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood desires to contract with the Foothills Park and Recreation District to develop the Fehringer Ranch Park and Open Space Master Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, a contract with the Foothills Park and Recreation District in form approved by the City Attorney in an amount not to exceed ninety thousand dollars ($90,000).

SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to the Foothills Park and Recreation District, in accordance with the terms of said contract.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by the vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on January 13, 2003, at 7 o'clock p.m., at the Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
