ORDINANCE: O-2003-35

SUBJECT: Ordinance declaring the City's intent to acquire interests in real property for the Kipling Street Over Bear Creek Bridge Replacement Project.

ADDRESS: 2965 South Kipling Street.

RECOMMENDATION: Adoption of this ordinance.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The bridge across Bear Creek is in need of replacement. The City intends to replace the existing bridge with a new bridge in order to make it safer for vehicle and pedestrian traffic to cross Bear Creek. The construction of this bridge is anticipated to be completed by June of 2005. There will be one neighborhood meeting to discuss this project. In order to start construction of the improvements at the scheduled date, the City needs to start acquiring the property interests necessary for this project. The Right of Way and Construction plans should be available near the end of December 2003.
