ORDINANCE: O-2003-16
SUBJECT: Emergency ordinance authorizing the City to convey an Easement Agreement for a water line facility to The Consolidated Mutual Water Company across the City of Lakewood Maintenance Shop at 850 Parfet Street.
ADDRESS: 850 Parfet Street.
RECOMMENDATION: Adoption of this ordinance authorizing conveyance of the Easement Agreement.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The Consolidated Mutual Water Company has asked the City for a utility easement across the City's Maintenance Shop property that will be used to complete a loop for the water line in Parfet Street. Constructing the loop through this area will provide better water service and a fire hydrant to the City property and neighboring uses. The easement and the line are necessary before a company can re-locate to a nearby property. Staff has reviewed the proposed waterline and determined that it is in the right location and will not interfere with the future use of the City land.
