AN ODINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED LANDS IN A PART OF THE SOUTHWEST ONE-QUARTER OF SECTION 6, TOWNSHIP 4 SOUTH, RANGE 69 WEST OF THE SIXTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, COUNTY OF JEFFERSON, STATE OF COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, has found a Petition for Annexation of a certain parcel of land as described in Exhibit A to be in substantial compliance with Section 31-12-107(1), Colorado Revised Statutes; and
WHEREAS, after notice pursuant to Section 31-12-108, Colorado Revised Statutes, the City Council has held a public hearing on the proposed annexation to determine if the annexation complies with Sections 31-12-104 and 31-12-105, Colorado Revised Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has by Resolution determined that the requirements of Sections 31-12-104 and 31-12-105, Colorado Revised Statutes, have been met, that an election is not required, and that no additional terms or conditions are to be imposed on the annexed area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The annexation of the territory located in the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, to the City of Lakewood, Colorado, described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is hereby ordained and approved and said territory is hereby incorporated in and made a part of the City of Lakewood, Colorado.
SECTION 2. The annexation of such territory to the City of Lakewood, Colorado, shall be complete and effective on the effective date of this Ordinance, except for the purpose of general property taxes and shall be effective as to general property taxes on and after the first day of January, A.D., 2004.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to perform all statutory duties required to complete said annexation.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after final publication.
I hereby attest and certify that the within and foregoing ordinance was introduced and read on first reading at a regular meeting of the Lakewood City Council on the 13th day of January 2003; published in full in the Jefferson Sentinel on the 16th day of January, 2003; set for public hearing on the 27th day of January, 2003; read, finally passed and adopted by the City Council on the 27th day of January, 2003; and signed and approved by the Mayor on the 28th day of January, 2003.
