The committee discussed creativity and diversity in the arts community and where Lakewood "fit" in the discussion of creative and vibrant arts communities.

Executive - Bob Zachman read a letter to Kathy Hodgson, Director of Community Resources and City Council. The letter thanks Council and Kathy for their dedication and commitment to the arts. The letter was passed around for commissioners to sign. Bob asked if any commissioner knew of anyone who would like to apply for open positions on the commission. If so, please encourage them to apply. The executive committee feels that a new ad hoc committee needs to be formed. This ad hoc committee will be named Community Liaison. A discussion ensued regarding this committee. There was mixed comments on Zach Matyja newsletter. However, Zach will continue with the newsletter, if you have any information you would like to include in the newsletter (events calendar) please email Zach.
