III. Committee Reports

a. Walt discussed his attendance at meeting regarding the drug bill on the table. Surgeon General was in Denver to promote bill, which will help with drug coverage however, there is a provision that within the next 7 years seniors will get off of Medicare. Push by government into private companies with no guarantee for insurability or cost of premiums. There would need to be two providers per county and that would force seniors to go with private company. The Commission is urged to individually write their representative objecting to this program that forces seniors off Medicare.
