P R O C L A M A T I O N
KIDS DAY AMERICA
September 20, 2003
WHEREAS, the health and well-being of our children is a community responsibility; and
WHEREAS, the safety of children is a significant concern for parents, community leaders and health-care providers; and
WHEREAS, educating our young people about proper health, safety, and environmental habits gives them the foundation necessary to become productive and healthy citizens; and
WHEREAS, this will be the first KIDS DAY AMERICA in Lakewood; and
WHEREAS, Lakewood businesses and West Metro Fire Rescue will donate their time for KIDS DAY AMERCIA.
NOW, THEREFORE, on behalf of the City Council and the people of the City of Lakewood, I, Steve Burkholder, Mayor of the City of Lakewood, Colorado by virtue of the authority vested in me, do hereby proclaim September 20, 2003, as
KIDS DAY AMERICA
in the City of Lakewood.
