SPECIAL MEETING - APRIL 28, 2003
MINUTES

ITEM 1 - CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Steve Burkholder called the meeting to order at 7:56 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.

ITEM 2 - ROLL CALL

Members in attendance: Steve Burkholder, Bob Murphy, Cheryl Wise, Ray Elliott, Mike Stevens, Barbara Martin, Jackie Herbst, Jean Saum, and Tom Booher

ITEM 3 - RESOLUTION LRA 2003-3 - A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE LAKEWOOD REINVESTMENT AUTHORITY TO NEGOTIATE A REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE COLFAX/WADSWORTH REINVESTMENT AREA CONSISTENT WITH THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN

Vice Chair Barbara Martin made a motion to adopt Resolution LRA 2003-3. It was seconded by Jackie Herbst.

Mike Rock stated that approval of this resolution would allow him to negotiate directly with Walmart on the proposed development at the corner of Wadsworth and Colfax Avenue.

Vote: All Ayes. No Nays. The motion carried.

ITEM 4 - RESOLUTION LRA 2003-4 - A RESOLUTION REVISING THE RELOCATION POLICY FOR THE COLFAX/WADSWORTH REINVESTMENT AREA
Public Comment: None

Vice Chair Barbara Martin made a motion to adopt Resolution LRA 2003-4. It was seconded by Jackie Herbst.

Malcolm Murray stated that when the relocation policy was used on the Belmar project relocations, they found a couple of items that were missing or needed to be stated in more detail in the policy. He stated that the revised policy would address residential property as well.

Vote: All Ayes. No Nays. The motion carried.

ITEM 5 - APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Barbara Martin made a motion to approve the minutes of the Special Meeting of the Lakewood Reinvestment Authority of January 27, 2003. It was seconded by Jackie Herbst. Vote: All Ayes. No Nays. The motion carried.

ITEM 6 - GENERAL BUSINESS

None.

ITEM 7 - ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before the Authority, Chairman Burkholder adjourned the meeting at 8:04 p.m.
