A RESOLUTION

AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD TO PURCHASE COMPUTERS AND RELATED HARDWARE FROM DELL COMPUTERS THROUGH THE USE OF EXISTING COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT - WSCA.

WHEREAS, the City is in the process of acquiring and implementing financial management system software; and,

WHEREAS, Dell Computers provides computer hardware necessary for the implementation and operation of financial management software and databases,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The City is hereby authorized to purchase computers and related hardware from Dell Computers through the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA). Said purchases shall have a not to exceed cost of $250,000 including purchases of minor accessory equipment not available from Dell that will be purchased from other hardware suppliers.

SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute purchases related to the project set forth above.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on December 9, 2002, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
