RESOLUTION: 2002-91
SUBJECT: Re-appointing and appointing members to the Lakewood Commission on
Cultural Diversity and Human Relations.
RECOMMENDATION: Adoption of this resolution which will officially re-appoint
Emelda Walker as the Asian member and Alicia Valiente as the Youth member and
appoint Richard Lopez as the Caucasian member, Yolanda Bezio as the Hispanic
member, and Angela Bracero as the Youth member to the Commission on Cultural
Diversity and Human Relations.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The Screening Committee held interviews on November 12, 2002 and November 19, 2002. They interviewed Richard Lopez, David Wiechman, Emelda Walker, Zachary Matyja, Jeff Tempkins, Bob Ward, Yolanda Bezio, Angela Bracero, Kristy Hartl, Alicia Valiente and Donald Tallman. They wish to make the above recommendation.
