A RESOLUTION

AUTHORIZING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO FUND THE UNION BOULEVARD PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.

WHEREAS, the 2003-2008 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) adopted by the Denver Regional Council of Governments funds the Union Boulevard Pavement Reconstruction Project using federal funds and matching funds from the City of Lakewood; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood desires to financially participate and design and administer construction of the Union Boulevard Pavement Reconstruction Project; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has budgeted $1,755,000 (50 percent) matching funds for the project in the 2002 Revised and 2003 Capital Improvement and Preservation Program.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that;

SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and the City Clerk to attest to a contract with the Colorado Department of Transportation for the Union Boulevard Pavement Reconstruction Project, with the City share of the contract not to exceed $1,755,000.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on November 25, 2002 at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
