A RESOLUTION

REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FROM, AND CERTIFYING EXPENDITURES TO, THE JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE FUND FOR THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD JOINT VENTURE WITH THE GOLD CROWN FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FIELD HOUSE AT ALL STAR PARK.

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has entered into an agreement for the pass through of funds to support the development of a Field House at the All Star Park site through the Gold Crown Foundation; and

WHEREAS, the City has applied for funding from Jefferson County Open Space to reimburse the costs of development of the field house in installments based on completion and up to $600,000; and

WHEREAS, the City Council needs to certify the expenses to Jefferson County through a resolution to receive these reimbursements.

Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The City of Lakewood hereby requests from the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson Country, State of Colorado, reimbursement from the Jefferson County Open Space Fund, in the amount of $400,000, payable 100% from the Recreation/Sports Facilities Grant Fund.

SECTION 2. This Resolution constitutes a certification by the City Council of the City of Lakewood to the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County that through the City's agreement with the Gold Crown Foundation, Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000) has been expended during the period October 1998 through October 2002 for the Gold Crown Field House development.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on November 25, 2002, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
