A RESOLUTION

FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF A PROPOSAL AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES RELATED TO THE LAKEWOOD HERITAGE CENTER VISITOR CENTER

WHEREAS, Oz Architecture has submitted a proposal for the completion of construction documents and construction monitoring for the Visitor Center at the Lakewood Heritage Center; and

WHEREAS, Oz Architecture was selected for the initial design development of the Visitor Center using the City purchasing procedures; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood desires to continue the use the services of Oz Architecture to develop final construction documents and assist in the monitoring of the construction of the visitor center at the Lakewood Heritage Center.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The proposal of Oz Architecture for continued design services and construction monitoring is hereby accepted.

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, a contract and any necessary change orders with Oz Architecture, in form approved by the City Attorney in an amount not to exceed one hundred and thirty thousand dollars ($130,000).

SECTION 3. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to Oz Architecture, in accordance with the terms of said contract.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 10 for and 1 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on April 8, 2002 at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center South, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
