RESOLUTION: 2002-6
SUBJECT: Approval of acceptance of a $75,000 grant from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) to construct an in-line hockey rink at the new Whitlock Recreation Center site.

RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Council approve acceptance of the grant through a resolution of support.
FUNDING SOURCE: $407,100 total project budget. GOCO award will be $75,000, pending approval from City Council.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The City of Lakewood submitted a grant application to GOCO for funds to construct an in-line hockey rink at the new Whitlock Recreation Center site. The grant was approved by GOCO for the full amount requested, $75,000. GOCO requires a resolution of support from the governing body in order to execute the grant agreement.
