RESOLUTION: 2002-3
SUBJECT: Acquisition of Recreational Water Feature for the Lakewood Link Pool Addition Using Federal funds.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval
FUNDING SOURCE: Community Development Block Grant
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The Lakewood Link Pool Addition is one of a series of projects authorized by City Council by Resolution 2001-25. Resolution 2001-25 provides for expenditure of Certificate of Participation Funds and CIPP Funds (Capital Improvement Project and Participation) for construction of recreation facilities. An item needed for construction of the Link pool is a water slide which can be purchased with Community Development Project Block Grant Funds since the Link Recreation Center is located in a Target Area. The City's purchasing ordinance requires that any purchase made with a change in funding source be approved by City Council.
