A RESOLUTION
FOR RENEWAL OF CONTRACT FOR THE 2002 CONCRETE REPAIR PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, by Invitation of Bid No. 2110, the City of Lakewood advertised for bids for the 2000 Concrete Repair Program and bids were opened on February 17, 2000.
WHEREAS, the City entered into a contract with the low bidder, Fasick Concrete, Inc., which included a provision for 2 contract renewals at the option of the City of Lakewood.
WHEREAS, Fasick Concrete Inc. performed the 2000 and 2001 Concrete Repair Programs in a quality, efficient manner.
WHEREAS, Fasick Concrete Inc. has requested an increase in contract unit prices of 0% for renewal of the contract in 2002 which the City of Lakewood wishes to accept for performance of the 2002 Concrete Repair Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The renewal prices submitted by Fasick Concrete Inc. for the 2002 Concrete Repair Program as described in Invitation to Bid No. 2110 are hereby accepted according to specifications as delineated in the original Invitation to Bid.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute, and the City
Clerk to attest, a contract with the said contractor in form approved by the
City Attorney in the total amount of
One Million One Hundred Twenty Three Thousand Seven Hundred Sixteen and 88/100
Dollars ($1,123,716.88). The City Manager is hereby further authorized to execute
change orders to said contract, in form approved by the City Attorney, which
shall not exceed, in the aggregate, an additional ten percent (10%) of the contract
or One Hundred Twelve Thousand Three Hundred Seventy One and 69/100 Dollars
($112,371.69), for a total contract amount not to exceed One Million Two Hundred
Thirty Six Thousand Eighty Eight and 57/100 Dollars ($1,236,088.57).
SECTION 3. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to Fasick
Concrete Inc.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of for and against at a regular meeting
of the City Council January 28th, 2002, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic
Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
