ORDINANCE: O-2002-16
SUBJECT: Amends and repeals sections of Lakewood Municipal Code regarding issuance of sound-amplifying equipment permits between the hours of ten p.m. and midnight.

RECOMMENDATION: Adoption of the attached ordinance.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Due to numerous calls of service for the Police Department to locations permitted to use sound-amplifying equipment until midnight, staff recommends eliminating the issuance of permits for use of sound-amplifying equipment between the hours of ten p.m. and midnight. There were only four permits issued in 2001 and eight in 2000.
