Commendations & Complaints

The Lakewood Police Department often receives commendations from citizens regarding police employee conduct. Such comments are always welcome. It is also the department's policy to investigate and resolve all citizen complaints and allegations of misconduct against department employees.

Commendations or complaints may be filed:

• by calling Police Internal Affairs at 303-987-7360 during normal business hours, 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday.
• by stopping in person at the address below.
• by mail to Internal Affairs, Lakewood Police Department, 445 S. Allison Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80226.
• by e-mail to nangae@lakewoodco.org

You will receive a response upon completion of an investigation into a complaint.
