The
Lakewood Police Department Animal Control Section provides enforcement
of animal laws, as well as education
on animal-related issues and problem
wildlife.
Please
call Animal Control if:
- You
are bitten by an animal or have in your possession an animal that
has bitten someone.
- You
see a sick or injured animal, an animal needing assistance or
a dead animal.
- You
encounter an animal that is aggressive toward people or other
animals.
- You
suspect there is animal cruelty or neglect occurring. Examples
of this may include lack of
food, water, adequate shelter or veterinary care.
- You
suspect an animal has been abandoned.
- You
see a dog or any livestock running loose.
