Attempt to Identify Fraud Suspects
July
15, 2009
Lakewood
police detectives are asking for assistance in identifying two women
(see photos below) they believe may be involved in numerous cases
in which vehicles were broken into. The women are additionally suspected
of stealing and using credit cards taken from those vehicles.
On
July 9, 2009, a female victim parked her vehicle at the Hayden Green
Mountain Trailhead located near W. Alameda Pkwy & S. Utah St.
at approximately 6:30 pm. When she returned at about 8:20 pm her
vehicle had been broken into and her purse containing credit cards
and identification had been taken from it.
At
about 6:50 pm that same evening, surveillance cameras at the King
Soopers store at 7984 W. Alameda Ave. recorded two women who entered
the store and eventually attempted to use the victim's stolen credit
cards.
Detectives
have had several similar cases in the area and suspect the two women
may be responsible for many of them.
Below
are photos of the two women in the King Soopers store.
