Resource Officers
The
department has seven police agents assigned to high schools and
middle schools in Lakewood. Five of the agents are assigned full
time to five of the high schools in Lakewood, and two agents cover
the four middle schools in the city.
All
of these agents are known as the School Resource Officers (SRO).
School Resource Officers work closely with the faculties of their
respective schools to assure a safe environment for all students
and staff and to address issues in the neighborhoods surrounding
