Voters approved the following tax changes in the November
1, 2005 election:
The City of
Lakewood Sales and Use Tax rate will increase to 3% effective
January 1, 2006 excluding food for home consumption.

most of Lakewood, the combined tax rate is 7.6%:

in Marston Park and Belleview Shores shopping centers in southern
Lakewood are also in the Southeast Jefferson County Road Improvement
District and must collect an additional .43% for a total rate of
8.03%. The Southeast Jefferson County Road Improvement District
tax is collected by the Colorado Department of Revenue. For further

Belmar (includes a 1% City of Lakewood tax rate):
Belmar 5.6%
The City of Lakewood has enacted an ordinance to hold retailers and other taxpayers harmless if they rely on certified databases to source the location of a sale, use or consumption of property or services subject to sales or use taxes. The below link includes the current providers that have been certified by the Colorado Department of Revenue along with more information on the “Hold Harmless Regulation” and other Home-Rule cities that have adopted the ordinance.
