CITY OF LAKEWOOD WATER UTILITY RATES:

The following water rates are effective March 15, 2010 for customers of the City of Lakewood water system. Water customers shall pay a standard, unvarying bi-monthly charge based upon meter size. Additionally, customers shall pay a variable volume charges based on the amount of water used. Those customers who use the fire protection service shall pay an additional bi-monthly fire protection amount based upon the size of the service.

MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES:

1. Delinquent Billing Fee: 5% per month on the past due balance not to exceed $15 per month.
2. Returned Checks Fee: $18.00 per check
3. Returned ACH Direct Payment Fee: $18.00 per ACH
4. Department Furnished Materials, Equipment, and Labor Fee: Labor, equipment, and materials at cost
5. Transfer Fee: $10.00
6. Disconnection and Reconnection Fee: $25.00 each
7. Lien Fee: $50.00 plus collection charges
8. Construction Water Rate: Current volume charge plus $100.00 processing fee plus refundable deposit that equals cost of furnished materials
9. Meter Reading Check Fee: $25.00 per reading for all meter readings after first check reading during a billing period
10. Meter Removal Fee: $40.00
11. Meter Accuracy Test Fee: $60.00 if accurate
12. Stub-in Fee: No charge-included as Inspection Fee
13. Special Permit Fee: No charge-included as Inspection Fee
14. Inspection Fee: $25.00 per inspection
15. Penalty for Unauthorized Connection: Ten percent of Lakewood tap fee
16. Penalty for Unauthorized Use of Hydrant Water: $500.00
