Financial Reports

The Accounting Division coordinates the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) working closely with Finance Administration and the City's external auditors. The City of Lakewood currently employs the external audit firm of Swanhorst & Company LLC. They can be reached at 720-528-4306 should you need additional information concerning the firm or the audit of the City of Lakewood.

The City of Lakewood has complied with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Statement 34 known as GASB 34. This required that the City identify all fixed assets including infrastructure assets. Various teams throughout the City have worked on identifying these assets, valuing these assets, and determining the appropriate methodology for calculating depreciation. GASB 34 also includes changes to financial reporting that was first reflected in our 2003 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

The following Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR) for the City of Lakewood are now available online. Each of the following Comprehensive Annual Financial Report in hardcopy is available for viewing at the City Clerk's Office and the two Jefferson County Libraries located in Lakewood.
