In support of City Council's Core Community Value to communicate openly with residents, City Manager's Office staff offer public information about the City through a variety of in-house media, including publications, website, government-access TV, electronic newsletters, citizen assistance, and special projects. Additionally, the City Manager's Office provides support for and review of public information generated by other City departments.

Staff also maintain professional relationships with news media organizations in metro Denver and Colorado. They serve as important contacts for newsgatherers seeking information on Lakewood-related news items, as well as distributing important or emergency information about the City through the news media.
