Lakewood voters approved the formation of the Lakewood Reinvestment Authority (LRA) on November 4, 1997. The Authority encourages private reinvestment within targeted areas of Lakewood to enhance, preserve, and restore the City's vitality and quality of life. LRA staff is part of the City Manager's Office, while City Council members sit in a dual role as members of the Authority.
