Election 2009 Answers & Information

WHEN IS ELECTION DAY?
Tuesday, November 3 - Polls open 7:00am to 7:00pm
All ballots must be in the hands of the County Clerk by 7:00pm on election day!

LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE:
Monday, October 5

• Register online to vote
• You can register in the Lakewood City Clerk's Office, 480 S. Allison Parkway. Call for more information: 303-987-7080, Mon. - Fri., 8am - 5pm.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATION FOR MAIL-IN BALLOT:
If you want it mailed to you, the deadline to apply is Tuesday, October 27.
After October 27th, you'll need to go to the Jeffco Clerk's Office to apply for and pick up your mail-in ballot.
The last day you can apply for and pick up a mail-in ballot at the Jeffco Clerk's Office is Friday, Oct 30.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY MAIL-IN BALLOT?
If you're already on the permanent mail-in ballot list, you'll receive your ballot about 20 days before the election.
If you apply for a mail-in ballot after that, you'll receive your ballot as soon as possible.

YOUR VOTED MAIL-IN BALLOT MUST BE RECEIVED BY 7PM ON ELECTION DAY - NOVEMBER 3RD!
Make sure you have enough postage and that there's plenty of time for the P.O. to get it to the county.
You may drop off your voted mail-in ballot at several city halls (including Lakewood), at Motor Vehicle offices and at the Jeffco Elections Dept:

WHEN DOES EARLY VOTING BEGIN (AND WHERE)?
Early voting begins on Monday, October 19, and ends on Friday, October 30.
