Commission for an Inclusive Community (ACIC)
ACIC currently has several openings for three-year terms that will begin
January 2017 and several openings for unexpired terms. Members of the ACIC
serve in an advisory role to the Lakewood City Council. In this advisory role,
ACIC members research specific issues or topics of interest to the citizens of
Lakewood and make recommendations to City Council regarding those issues for potential
action. Members should plan to attend a minimum of two meetings a month; a Full
Commission Meeting and a committee meeting.

Board of Appeals:
One opening currently exists on the City of
Lakewood’s Board of Appeals. The opening
is for an unexpired three-year term that commenced on April 1, 2016. The Board of Appeals, a quasi-judicial body,
hears and decides appeals from any order, requirement, decision or
determination made by the Codes Administrator.
Meetings are held as needed.
Typically, the Board of Appeals meets four or five times a year for
approximately one to two hours. Members
