Earth Day Electronics Recycling

On your way to the Earth Day Celebration, stop by next door to responsibly recycle your electronics! Download the event flyer for event costs and location. To ensure a fast and convenient drop-off, reserve your time through the Eventbrite online reservation system.


Bear Creek Lake Park Volunteer Project

Nature lovers, get your hands dirty participating in a volunteer project on April 22 from 8 a.m.-noon to honor Earth Day. Volunteers will work on various projects throughout the park. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate, and the registration deadline is April 18. Sign up at

Beer Garden
All Day
Enjoy beer, wine and spirits at the Beer Garden, while listening to live music and playing yard games. All proceeds from the Beer Garden will go to Jovial Concepts, a local non-profit organization committed to community and stewardship. By supporting Jovial Concepts, you can take your pick from donated drinks provided by Odell Brewing Co., Avery Brewing Co., Colorado Vodka Co., and Crazy Mountain Brewing Co.
Cider Days Beer Garden

Grab a bite to eat from a Colorado food truck while you listen to the music and enjoy the beer garden.

Bike Valet
All Day
Ride your bike to the Earth Day Celebration and park it at the free bike valet so you can enjoy the event worry free! The Lakewood Bicycle Advisory Team and Green Mountain Sports are co-hosting the event and can give you tips on biking in Lakewood.

Enjoy live music at the Gazebo from local artists throughout the event.

Composting Demonstration
Sustainability Garden, Time TBD
Learn the basics of browns and greens and how you can compost in your backyard from Lakewood's composting guru, Julie Elam.

Join Sprout City Farms as they walk you through the basics of seed starting, including different seed types, potting mixes and planting techniques.

Get moving with fun fitness activities, open to all ages and levels and led by Lakewood recreation instructors.
