Masters Swim Team: Lakewood Dawgs

Who are the Dawgs?
The Dawgs Swim Team began over 25 years ago as a local YMCA Masters team.  Throughout the years they have grown in size, experienced changes in their practice venues, witnessed acquisitions of new pools and have combined with other masters teams.  These events have helped place the team in rare company in Colorado.  They are currently one of the few teams that swim in a 50-meter pool year round and are consistently one of the top 10 teams at the seasonal state meets.  Present and past swimmers have held masters swimming state, national, and world records in several events.  Best of all they have become a group that welcomes newcomers, supports each other in achieving their goals and loves having a great time together.

The team and coaches welcome any swimmer, over the age of 19 to come and join for a practice or meet.  Please review the information on the site, and if you have any additional questions, contact Joe Mallory at 303-987-7837.  We look forward to seeing you in the pool!

Who can join the Dawgs?
Any swimmer over the age of 19 is welcome to join the Dawgs team.  Skill level and experience doesn’t matter.  Our coaches will be able to place you in a lane with swimmers of similar skill level and will provide you with everything from stroke technique and fundamentals to challenging workouts.

 Who is the coach?
We currently have rotating coaches and are looking for a new head coach.
