City Council: Frequently Asked Questions

 

How do City Council meetings operate?

Regular Lakewood City Council meetings are held at 7 p.m., the second and fourth Mondays of each month to receive citizen input and to take action on proposed legislation. Roberts Rules of Order are used as procedural guidelines. Regular meetings are held in City Council Chambers in Lakewood Civic Center South, 480 S. Allison Pkwy.

City Council Study Sessions are held the first and third Mondays of each month to review complex matters. The public is welcome to attend the study sessions, but unlike regular council meetings, public comment is not taken. Study sessions are held in the Council cabinet room, upstairs in Lakewood Civic Center South, 480 S. Allison Pkwy.
