AN ORDINANCE

AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE SERVICE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE METRO WASTEWATER RECLAMATION DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD.

WHEREAS, on April 15, 2003, the Board of Directors of the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District approved an amendment to the Service Contract between Metro Wastewater Reclamation District and the City of Lakewood, by deleting Section 301a, deleting paragraph 6 of Schedule B, and modifying Section 606, all as set forth in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Lakewood that the Service Contract be so amended; and,

WHEREAS, it is necessary that the Member Municipalities authorize such amendment to the Service Contract:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to sign and the City Clerk attest to an agreement authorizing the amendment to the Service Contract by deleting Section 301a, deleting paragraph 6 of Schedule B, and modifying Section 606, all as set forth in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A.

I hereby attest and certify that the within and foregoing ordinance was introduced and read on first reading at a regular meeting of the Lakewood City Council on the 11th day of August, 2003; published in full in the Lakewood Sentinel on the 14th, day of August, 2003; set for public hearing on the 25th day of August, 2003; read, finally passed and adopted by the City Council on the 25th day of August, 2003; and signed and approved by the Mayor on the 26th day of August, 2003.
