A RESOLUTION

AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE CONSOLIDATION OF SENATE BILL 8 AGREEMENTS.

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood as a local agency maintains and operates traffic signals on State Highways under Colorado Revised Statutes 42-4-502, 43-1-106, 43-2-102, 43-2-135, and 43-2-144, as amended and;

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood receives payments based on two agreements with the Colorado Department of Transportation for the maintenance and operation of said signals and;

WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Transportation desires to consolidate two agreements into one

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, an agreement with the Colorado Department of Transportation, in a form approved by the City Attorney, for the City of Lakewood to consolidate two separate Senate Bill 8 agreements into one.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on October 14, 2002, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
