A RESOLUTION

APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH SEAR-BROWN FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE UNION BOULEVARD PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT

WHEREAS, The Denver Regional Council of Governments and the State Transportation Commission have adopted the 2003-2008 State Transportation Improvement Plan, which includes 50% matching funding for the Union Boulevard Pavement Reconstruction project, with construction scheduled for 2003, and

WHEREAS, the City has completed a consultant selection process for engineering design and construction services for the Union Boulevard Pavement Reconstruction Project, and

WHEREAS, Sear-Brown has been selected to provide engineering design and construction services for the Union Boulevard Pavement Reconstruction Project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that;

SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and the City Clerk to attest a contract with Sear-Brown for engineering design and construction services for the Union Boulevard Pavement Reconstruction Project, in form approved by the City Attorney, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Eight Hundred Thirty-One Dollars ($239,831.00).

SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to Sear-Brown in accordance with the terms of said contract.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on September 23, 2002, at 7 o' clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
