A RESOLUTION

ADOPTING THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE COLFAX-WADSWORTH REINVESTMENT PLAN TO INCLUDE 1605, 1611, 1625, 1631 AND 1645 VANCE STREET

WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Colfax-Wadsworth Reinvestment Plan on August 9, 1999; and

WHEREAS, the boundaries of the urban renewal area were drawn as narrowly as feasible to accomplish the planning and development objectives for the urban renewal area; and

WHEREAS, the City Council approved rezoning to 5C-Conditional the Colfax-Wadsworth Reinvestment Area and the properties at 1605, 1611, 1625, 1631 and 1645 Vance Street on October 22, 2001; and

WHEREAS, modification of the Plan is governed by C.R.S. 31-25-107 (7); and

WHEREAS, inclusion of the property at 1605, 1611, 1625, 1631 and 1645 Vance Street will not substantially change the urban renewal plan based on the land area of the modification, the likely land use of the modification, the design, building requirements, timing or procedure that have been previously approved by the City Council; and

WHEREAS, the inclusion of the properties at 1605, 1611, 1625, 1631 and 1645 Vance Street is necessary for the redevelopment of the Colfax-Wadsworth Reinvestment Area which is illustrated in the attached map; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Lakewood finds that it is appropriate to adopt the second amendment to the Colfax-Wadsworth Reinvestment Plan to include the properties at 1605, 1611, 1625, 1631 and 1645 Vance Street as a minor modification to the Plan.

SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to affix their signatures on this Resolution as evidence of the approval and adoption of the same by the City Council.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of _____For and ___Against at a regular meeting of the City Council on June 24, 2002, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
