The tenth annual Juried Teachers Exhibition will be held concurrent with the Middle School Art exhibition. This exhibition features the work of instructors currently teaching in Jefferson County elementary, middle and high schools. Artwork includes a wide variety of mediums including painting, photography, mixed media, fiber and potter.

In 2007, the ACIC was established to serve in an advisory role to City Council, involving citizens more directly to provide public input.
The ACIC is made up of three committees consisting of 30 members. The ACIC committees bring forward initiatives or issues, which the commission deems important for consideration by City Council. ACIC committees may receive assignments from City Council to research specific issues or topics that interest the community and then make recommendations accordingly. All ACIC meetings are open to the public and citizen participation is encouraged.
