The work is inspiredby Martha Pinkard Williams deep affection for, and ongoing investigation of, the formations at Red Rocks Park. "Although the work is based in nature, it is more akin to portraits of a place, than a panoramic, landscape point of view," says Martha. Her work finds a place between realism and abstraction and displays a masterful handling of a variety of media. Martha has been the illustration professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver, and she continues to teach painting.
