Youth Volleyball MSSP Girls Volleyball CARA Volleyball Team
The City of Lakewood’s Youth Volleyball program is designed as a recreational program with room for competition. Each participant will learn USA Volleyball skills, techniques and game play and develop a better understanding of the game, sportsmanship and what it means to be part of a team. Volleyball programs are offered at Carmody Recreation Center, Whitlock Recreation Center and Green Mountain Recreation Center.

CARA League

This is a coed, recreational league with fall and spring seasons and involves weekly practices and tournament play on various weekends at locations along the Front Range. The league is great for beginners and experienced players in 2nd through 8th grades. The Fall CARA Season begins in September and ends in early November. The Spring CARA Season begins in March and ends in late May. 

Middle School Sports Program (MSSP)

A coed, recreational league for students at Creighton, Carmody, Dunstan and O'Connell middle schools. Games and practices are held on Monday/Wednesday (7th grade) and Tuesday/Thursday (8th grade) after school at the school the participant attends. Transportation is provided to and from away games.  League runs from late October to mid-December.

Winter Indoor Leagues

This indoor league is coed, recreational volleyball leagues for players of all skill levels. The league is offered to participants in grades 2 through 12. The league will emphasize recreational participation, introduce new players to the sport and continue to challenge the more experienced players. The indoor league involves a combination of weekly practices and games. The season begins in January and runs through the beginning of March.

Fall and winter break camps

Camps are offered for beginner and intermediate at various times throughout the year. Skills Camps are for more advanced players with at least three years of experience who want to improve specific skills such as serving, passing, defense, setting and hitting. There is also a High School Tryout Prep camp held in August.

Group Lessons

Come and work on specific skills; serving, setting, passing, defense or hitting with a group of friends. Coaches will be there to give immediate feedback and help run drills to maximize repetition.
